Where the work goes
Recordings, compositions and documentation made during the fellowship enter the Zvjezdane Staze archive, from which selected pieces later become part of Zvjezdane·Zvuчne·Staze, the audio walk along the circular path between Mijakovići and the ruins of Bobovac.
The format is presented at a festival in Vienna in 2027. Odjeci I, the first release of the series, comes in summer 2027: four selected compositions on a record published by Fondacija Prostor together with Prostor · Raum für zeitgenössische Kunst, Vienna, with a focus on contemporary composition.
Who can apply
Artists working with sound as their primary medium, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Kosovo, and the Yugoslav diaspora. Emerging and established practices equally welcome. Collectives may apply.
The fellowship is directed at work that engages, in a conceptual register, with the layered realities of the region: nature and history, languages and culture, memory and its generational transmission. Sound is the medium that carries this engagement; the thematic ground is for the artist to define.
